BBC’s Killer Squirrel Connection

killsqirthum.jpgAs the site motto states, I like to keep things here grounded in some sort of truth. Usually, the BBC is a fine organization from which to get a fairly balanced view of world news. They don’t succumb to the usual triviality of events and they almost always try to give both sides of the story.

I came across something recently that turned all of that on its head though. A little over a month ago (or perhaps longer, I can’t remember exactly) I came across an article about a truly ludicrous event. I was dumbfounded at the time but eventually forgot about it. Now, however, the article has resurfaced. And by that, I mean the exact same article has been posted with today’s date. Further, it involves killer squirrels. Yes, you read right, killer squirrels. Read it for yourself HERE.

Now seriously, what the fuck was the BBC thinking. Perhaps the journalists at the Moscow bureau are partaking in the local Vodka a little excessively. BBC, hast thou editorial excellence forsaken thee in these troubling times? Woe are we in a world where BBC posts articles about killer rodents pillaging the human world.

In the extremely rare event that this article is true, I suggest you keep that old BB gun handy, and a bag of nuts. Who knows when the Pine Cone Crew from the tree down the street will come for you.
